Close encounter with moose

The thermometer showed -26 degrees the other day when I took a drive towards Vaukaleden to see if the trail was accessible by foot and after the last houses towards Vauka streams I got the feeling of being observed, quite funny how often it is true that you really are!

It's unbelievable that these large animals are able to survive the winter by eating dry twigs..

Who's disturbing?

It turned out to be a total of 3 moose but one kept out of the pictures.

Huge gracious animals

Snow high up the legs.

Graciös älg trots sin storlek
Moose in deep snow

Closest moose was only 5-10 meters from the road when I stepped out and moved only a bit further away and continued to eat the birch twigs.

Better move a bit

It's incredible with the ease and gracious way these huge animals can move in deep snow.

Best to keep an eye on that guy
